Berden Spring Run 2026 has been cancelled

The 20th edition of the Berden Spring Run was scheduled to take place on March 8, 2026. Despite intensive preparations, the organization has decided to cancel this edition.

Over the past year, several members of the organizing team have stepped down for understandable and valid reasons, and one colleague has sadly passed away. Although there was initially confidence that these roles could be filled in time, this ultimately proved not to be possible. As a result, the organization has become too vulnerable to responsibly hold the event. It is important to note that there were sufficient volunteers available for the race day itself, but there was a shortage of people for coordination and preparation.

We realize that this decision is disappointing. Participants who have already registered will be informed by email about the refund of their registration fee.

The intention is to return in 2027 with a renewed format, including a new start and finish location. Those interested in contributing to this can contact us via bestuur@scopias.nl.

The Berden Hike will take place as scheduled.
